After nearly three years, BLACKPINK returned to the stage with the launch of their highly anticipated DEADLINE world tour, kicking off with two sold-out nights at Goyang Stadium on July 5 and 6.
With over 78,000 attendees, the event marked a historic moment—the first time a girl group has headlined at the venue. Alongside the debut of their new track JUMP, the group once again affirmed their status as K-pop global icons.
However, the celebratory mood was marred by a series of chaotic fan incidents that have since gone viral, sparking widespread concern over concert safety and crowd control.
VIP Zone Breaches and Audience Misconduct Go Viral
Multiple fan-recorded videos circulating online captured moments of disruption and disorder, particularly in the VIP zones. In one now-viral clip, a male attendee reportedly from a lower-tier section—was seen illegally entering the VIP area. When confronted and filmed by another fan, the man allegedly responded aggressively and slapped the phone out of the person’s hand.

In another incident, fans were seen climbing over barriers and rushing into VIP sections, disregarding seating assignments and obstructing the view of premium ticket holders. The resulting chaos frustrated many fans who had paid significantly more for an organized and exclusive experience.
Water Splash Incident Divides Fan Reactions
Amid the disorder, one frustrated concertgoer was captured on camera splashing water at the intruders as a form of protest. This act received mixed reactions: while some sympathized with their frustration, others criticized the move as inappropriate behavior at a high-profile event.

Onstage Disruptions: BLACKPINK Responds
Crowd control issues also affected BLACKPINK’s onstage moments. During fan interactions, members had to pause due to crowd pushing in the VIP zone.
In a separate incident, a stuffed toy was thrown onto the stage, prompting Lisa to firmly warn fans against such actions. She tossed the toy offstage, which was later praised online after concerns emerged that hidden cameras might have been embedded in fan gifts.
“Please don’t throw things. It’s dangerous,” Lisa said her firm stance earning applause from fans concerned about idol safety.

The incidents at Goyang Stadium have ignited online debate, with many fans urging concert organizers and YG Entertainment to enforce stricter seating rules and enhance security measures for future shows. As K-pop concerts grow larger in scale, ensuring the safety and comfort of attendees—especially those in high-priced VIP zones—has become a growing concern.
Despite the controversies, BLACKPINK’s return remains a milestone event in the K-pop world. The DEADLINE tour spans 31 shows across 16 cities, running through January 2026, and is set to reach millions of fans worldwide.
